It is important to note that scammers have used the hype surrounding the upcoming meme coin as an opportunity to scam the SHIB community. Shibarium Trustwatch (an X account that purports to provide security) has warned people several times to stay away from dubious people offering services with TREAT and claiming to be live.

Community reaction

The news about TREAT’s release caused a lot of excitement, with numerous X users commenting on the post. One person who participated was Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama:

Earlier this week, Kusama revealed her intentions to launch a podcast in 2025. It will consist of 44 episodes and will cover various aspects of the meme currency ecosystem. The team will focus on different topics each day of the week, with Tuesdays dedicated to TREAT.

Mondays will focus on meme coins, Thursdays on tech discussions, Fridays on “shouts and follows” and Saturdays “all about spirituality”. There will be no streaming on Wednesdays and Sundays.
