Theta Labs and FlyQuest launch AI esports chatbot

Theta Network, a decentralized cloud for artificial intelligence and blockchain, has partnered with FlyQuest to launch a customized AI esports chatbot.

FlyQuest, North America’s leading esports organization and leading League of Legends team, said in an announcement that it will leverage Theta EdgeCloud to power its agency AI chatbot called a.PHiD.

Available on the FlyQuest website and via Discord integration, the bot will provide answers to fans’ questions, including details on rosters, upcoming matches and results.

Commenting on the collaboration, FlyQuest CEO Brian Anderson said the launch of a.PHiD will revolutionize the esports team’s fan experiences. This will allow the organization to increase fan engagement, whether through one-on-one interactions or broader engagement.

The partnership with FlyQuest comes as the Theta Labs team announced an update to EdgeCloud, a hybrid computing platform for AI, video, and rendering applications. EdgeCloud leverages high-performance cloud-based graphics processing units, including Nvidia’s latest GPUs, and has partnered with Google Cloud, among other industry giants.

In its latest update, Theta Network said that the platform now supports AI mobile browsers and video dashboard. EdgeCloud is now optimized for both iOS and Android; Developers have access to features like model training, agent AI, analytics, and payments.

Theta Labs introduced EdgeCloud in May 2024 and has seen its adoption skyrocket in the last few months.

Some of the momentum has come from academia and corporate ecosystems, with Theta attracting partnerships from leading institutions such as Seoul National University, the University of Oregon, and more recently, Ajou University. These institutions are leveraging hybrid cloud GPU infrastructure to conduct research across AI.

Theta EdgeCloud supports Theta Fuel (TFUEL), fiat and USDC payments.
