Google Play has apparently delisted non-custodial wallet Trust Wallet, just days after the FBI warned against the use of non-KYC crypto services.
Trust Wallet, a non-custodial digital wallet for crypto storage acquired by Binance in 2018, has allegedly been removed from the Google Play marketplace. When trying to access the app’s page on Google Play, users are now redirected to a blank page, indicating that the app is no longer available.

As of press time, the reason for the removal remains unclear and neither Trust Wallet nor Google Play have issued any public statement on the matter. Shortly after the news broke, Trust Wallet’s native token TWT fell over 5%, according to data from CoinGecko.
Founded by Viktor Radchenko in 2017, Trust Wallet offers users non-custodial storage services for cryptocurrencies on various blockchain networks. The app was later acquired by crypto exchange Binance in 2018, but the financial side of the deal has not been disclosed so far.
The latest news emerged shortly after the FBI warned Americans to avoid using crypto services from companies that are not registered as Money Services Businesses (MSBs) and do not comply with anti-money laundering rules. It is unclear whether Google’s decision to remove Trust Wallet is related to this warning, as other non-custodial crypto wallets were available on Google Play at the time of this writing.
