Former President Donald Trump amassed a crypto portfolio worth several million dollars by buying and selling cryptocurrencies over the past few years.

Trump received over 1,700 Ethereum (ETH) in royalties from the project. He sold 1,075 tokens for $2.4 million in December and now owns approximately 800 ETH worth $2.3 million.

Trump’s largest holding is in MAGA Coin (TRUMP). This meme coin was launched last August and has since become quite popular in the crypto community. Initially, the creators of the project sent 580,000 TRUMP tokens to the former president. At the time, TRUMP was worth less than $0.01 and the position was worth several thousand dollars.

In March, TRUMP’s price rose to $11.56. At the highest levels, Trump’s position was worth $6.7 million. TRUMP has since fallen to about $5, but Trump still holds 580,000 tokens worth about $2.8 million.

Trump also has an important place in the Conan (CONAN) meme coin, named after a dog injured in the raid on Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Following the raid, Trump presented Conan with an award.

In his speech about the dog, Trump said, “Conan did a great job and we are very honored to have Conan here and present Conan with a certificate and award.”

The speech and award resulted in CONAN meme money. Founders sent 20 billion tokens to Trump at launch; This amounts to 2% of the 1 trillion token supply. CONAN’s price has performed well since its launch in early 2024, with Trump’s position valued at around $250,000.

Trump also owns a handful of Polygon (MATIC) worth about $3,700. These tokens were likely obtained during their involvement with NFT projects.

Trump’s portfolio holds more than 50 meme coins, many of which were sent to Trump as marketing efforts by supporters or creators of the projects. However, none of the other tokens make up a significant portion of the portfolio. Trump has more than $5.5 million in cryptocurrency.
