Donald Trump Supports Bitcoin Mining at Mar-a-Lago Meeting with Industry Leaders

Former US President Donald Trump expressed his strong support for Bitcoin mining during a meeting with several Bitcoin miners at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Tuesday night. The move underscores Trump’s increasing embrace of the cryptocurrency industry as he prepares for next November’s election.

At the meeting, Trump told attendees that he would defend Bitcoin mining if he returned to the White House, emphasizing the role miners play in stabilizing the energy grid. This statement aligns with Trump’s pro-crypto stance expressed during the campaign.

CleanSpark Inc. attended the meeting at Trump’s Palm Beach resort. and Riot Platforms were attended by representatives from leading bitcoin mining companies. Several participants posted photos with the former president, reflecting that Trump’s words were well received by the crypto community.

Trump’s support of Bitcoin mining not only drew applause from industry leaders, but also turned into a major fundraising success. A recent $12 million fundraiser held in Silicon Valley saw the participation of notable figures such as Gemini founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, further solidifying Trump’s support among crypto enthusiasts. Last month, Trump announced that his campaign would also accept political donations in the form of cryptocurrency.
