Degen chain network halts production for over 42 hours

The Degen chain has been inactive for more than 42 hours despite a network resynchronization scheduled to be completed early Tuesday.

Conduit estimates that the Degen L3 resynchronization will be completed by 6 a.m. Pacific time. After resynchronization, they will test the chain to ensure that all data affected by the refactoring has been restored. We apologize for the interruption. In addition to Degen, third-party infrastructure provider Conduit noted glitches affecting another blockchain, Proof of Play’s Apex, following a configuration change last Friday.

“After a special configuration change on Friday [2 pm ET] At 11 a.m. PT, two Conduit chains, Degen and Apex, stopped bulk shipping for over 24 hours. Upon reboot, the first batches triggered restructuring on both chains.” Conduit explained.

Conduit is collaborating with Degen, Apex and Offchain Labs to solve these problems.

“We are working with both teams and Offchain Labs to restore service and minimize the impact on users,” the company said.

While the Degen chain is popular with Farcaster users and allows developers to interact with the meme coin community, the chain’s discoverer stated that the outage resulted in no new transactions being recorded on the blockchain for two days.
