The Bitcoin Conference in Nashville will take place next week and will bring together tens of thousands of crypto enthusiasts, industry leaders, and investors. This year, two of the three major presidential candidates will also be in attendance, along with a number of congressional representatives.
The conference comes just two weeks after former President Trump was nearly assassinated during a rally in Pennsylvania, with one of the attendees killed in the crossfire. Trump reaffirmed his commitment to speak at Bitcoin 2024 next weekend, his first public appearance since the shooting at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
Security measures at the conference have been increased since the assassination attempt. “This is going to be an incredibly secure event,” said Brandon Green, Chief of Staff of the Bitcoin Conference. “We are spending a lot of time making sure that security measures for attendees are as streamlined as possible.”
Presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. and former candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, as well as Tennessee state senators Bill Hagerty and Marsha Blackburn, are also scheduled to speak at the conference.
Green also says they are working with a “reinforced secret service” to ensure the security of all attendees and speakers. They expect at least 20,000 people to attend the conference over the 3 days.
President Trump is expected to deliver the keynote speech at the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville on July 27.
