Crypto investigator exposes Shkreli as DJT token creator

On-chain detective ZachXBT was rewarded $150,000 by Arkham Intelligence for revealing former pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli as the creator of the DJT token.

The discovery comes after intense speculation and a rise in the value of the token said to be linked to former President Donald Trump.

The revelation raises potential legal concerns for Shkreli, who is currently on parole after being convicted of securities fraud.

The DJT token has surged 300% in value amid false claims of its ties to Trump, prompting Arkham Intelligence to offer a reward for the identification of its creator.

Arkham Intelligence said ZachXBT provided conclusive evidence, including a direct message from Shkreli acknowledging his role in creating the token along with an individual referred to as “Barron”; This led to speculation that Trump’s son, Barron Trump, was involved, but no concrete evidence has been presented to support this claim.

Shkreli, infamous for his decision to exorbitantly raise the price of a critical drug by 5,000 percent, has been actively promoting the narrative that the DJT token is the official token of the Trump campaign.

His actions included a US$100 million bet on the legitimacy of the token with crypto trader GCR, which was later withdrawn.

The drama escalated further when Shkreli ran a Twitter Space claiming to be behind DJT and suggesting that Barron Trump controls the private keys to the token’s smart contract address.

Shkreli’s claims have not yet been confirmed by Barron Trump or his representatives, and the Trump campaign has not commented on the matter.
