On May 8, the network slowed down block generation and transaction processing stopped after less than an hour, allowing the protocol to clear its memory pool and resume normal operation after 30 minutes.

The developers said they were investigating the cause of the incident and admitted that the network problems persisted the next day.

Technical experts created internal test networks to test fixes for bugs that were supposedly detected. In addition to the animated planned v9.3.4 update, Zilliqa also released the necessary software update and announced the restoration of the blockchain.

However, on the evening of May 9, the developers admitted that they were not able to completely eliminate the main causes of network shutdowns. However, the company assured that the funds are safe and users can check their balance through the blockchain browser.
